If there is someone you care about running as a write in candidate, by all means vote for him or her. If, on the other hand, you're thinking of writing in a candidate because you don't like or don't know any of the candidates on the ballot, please reconsider.
At the end of election day, the poll workers have to tally all the write in votes. They hand count every ballot, record all the write in votes, and then double check it. If you write in a unique write in candidate for half a dozen positions, you've just made everyone at that polling place stay another two minutes later.

Tip #201: Use page down when someone is watching
If someone is reading over your shoulder, use the Page Down key rather than your scroll wheel when it's time to go to the next page. That way the watcher knows where on the page to look to pick up where she left off.
